 Hemi George many years ago
Hemi George
I’m proud and humbled to call Berge Ilanjian also known as Hemi George my friend.
I have been in the mopar world and Hemi game a long time . I’ve known and worked with many famous mopar legends , Herb McCandless , Ronnie Sox , Jake King , Cotton Owens , Maurice petty , Dick landy , Keith Black , and many many more. It has truly been a blessing to make a living working on my lifes passion, Chryslers 426 Hemi , the greatest American V8 ever built and ever will be built.
I’ve learned so much over the years from all my fellow mopar engine builders , mechanics , gear heads and racers. That being said, one truth is eveident and is very clear. Berge Ilanjian is without question a remarkable person. Very very few individuals are as knowledgeable and so well versed from actual hands on experience as Hemi George. Underestimated , misunderstood, unappreciated, overlooked , everyone elses loss, not mine . I see Berge clearly and understand him for the genius that is Californias Hemi George. His blood flows race Hemi orange .
A remarkable aspect to Berge is his ability to understand all the dynamics and minute details of every issue of making the 426 Hemi run properly, as Mother Mopar intended. The difficult areas, the things that can and will drive mechanics mad, Carbs, cams, ignitions , and how they work in harmony . One mistake, one mismatched component can cause nothing but problems , these are the areas berge understands best . I know of nothing he cant fix or figure out , because he’s usually already fixed it or figured it out. He’s owned countless Mopars and run some of the quickest street cars ever on American roads. Unknown about Berge is he’s an incredible artist , making wooden art deco cars that stagger the imagination .
In closing, should you have one of my 426 Hemi’s under your hood and when you kick it and smile , that rush of American Hemi performance is partially due to the friendship , advise and technical expertise of my friend Hemi George . Thanks Berge
