I have tested too many camshaft profiles not to have a handle on what King Kong wants . Picking the wrong camshaft or having the wrong cam recommended is so easy to do and it happens every day. I utilize specific grinds that I know are winners because I’ve tried them , used them and delivered the goods with them.

There are companys out there talking about “chrysler specific” camshafts . Rediculous , many of these companys and one in particular are just using great grinds from the 60’s and early 70’s that Chryslers like . They were not “chrysler specific” then and they are not now. That’s just an advertising song. I will tell you though , many cam grinders now will try and sell you a recent profile that is Big block chevrolet specific and your Hemi flat out will not run. I have had the fun of trying many of these more modern grinds only to yank them out in the dyno cell and curse under my breath. I have plotted the lobes on a cam doctor and understand why they don’t work . It’s not rocket science once you understand whats being done.

What it boils down to is the 426 Hemi is a deep breathing animal and the cam can't be compromised like they currently do for Chevrolet engines that don’t breath freely like old King Kong. I have many of my own design camshafts and rely on many specific grinds that are tested and proven awesome. My 525 will have a roller cam that will most likely wrinkle up your car and maybe scare you.
